As a leading student accommodation and facilities management provider, we understand the challenges and potential changes facing the university accommodation sector and the need to adapt our service offering in order to remain at the forefront of our industry.

We recently attended the Student Housing Conference in Manchester to gain a greater understanding of the changes ahead and participated in their interactive sessions held on pastoral care and the vital role universities and accommodation providers play in safeguarding the health and mental wellbeing of its students, efficient energy use and value for money and the innovations in development to build and improve facilities.

The event gave Derwent an opportunity to network with fellow sector colleagues and discuss the various challenges we face in our organisations as well develop partnerships, understand the key roles in the industry and familiarise ourselves with the new technologies leading the construction process in new builds.
