Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing

We recognise our duty of care to the thousands of students who stay with us each year, as well as those utilising spaces we manage. For many students, this is their first time away from their support network of caregivers, friends, and family. The wellbeing and experience they receive from our team are crucial.

Our commitment is to enhancing the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and the wider community.

Key Highlights of our Wellbeing initiatives;

Global Student Living: Achieving Global Student Living Platinum Certification demonstrates our commitment to creating thriving communities.
Mental Health First Aid Training:  Members of our team undergo Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to provide immediate support and foster a safer environment. Features include regular training, one-on-one sessions, and awareness campaigns.
Strategic Partnership with Student Minds: Collaborating with Student Minds allows us to enhance mental health services, promote awareness, and provide comprehensive support tailored to student needs.
Community-Focused Projects: Initiatives like litter picks and volunteer programs engage students and staff in local health and wellbeing efforts.
ESG and Sustainability Initiatives: Our environmental, social, and governance initiatives include energy and water management, recycling programs, and waste reduction.
Enhancing Biodiversity: We’ve installed bug hotels, herb gardens, and engaged in tree planting to improve green spaces and promote environmental education.
Diversity and Inclusion: We pride ourselves on our inclusive approach and have a clear vision for diversity and equality which can be viewed at Diversity and inclusion – Places for People
Residents App: Students living in our accommodation have access to a residents app. This allows them to conveniently report maintenance issues, stay informed about events, and receive announcements from our on site teams.
Social Events: Throughout the year our onsite teams organise a calendar of social events, supporting students to integrate into the site community.
